Lesson Structure
The nursery is split into two levels. One upstairs, one down.
These levels provide different experiences for the different age ranges.
The downstairs room is for children who are 6 months to 2 years and the upstairs room is for children who are 2 years to 5 years.
Twice daily we have 'circle time', during this time your child enjoys rhymes, story, greets other children as they arrive in the morning and has the opportunity to talk about something of interest to them.
They have opportunity for free play several times a day, during this time your child may choose what they would like to do from playing in the water to pretending in the home corner. We also have a focus activity, this activity helps ensure your child receives a balanced curriculum.
Staff regularly observe the children throughout the day. These observations are used to plan future activities and stored in your child’s development folder.
